Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and has been addressed in
Domino 5.0.8.
As a workaround, if a *MSF configuration is not required, use the CHGDOMSVR
command to implement a *Domino configuration.
If, however, a *MSF configuration is required, perform the steps below to work
around the issue:
1. Shut down the *SMTP TCP server by typing the following from an AS/400
command line, and press Enter:
ENDTCPSVR *SMTP
2. Shut down MSF by typing the following from an AS/400 command line, and press
Enter:
ENDMSF
3. Using a Notes Client, open the Domino Directory on the server.
4. Select the Server, Domains view.
5. If a Global Domain document does not exist, create one using the "Add
Domain" button, referring to the Administrator's Guide (Administering the
Domino System, Volume 1, page 399) as required.
6. Modify the Global Domain document as follows:
a. Select the Conversions tab.
b. Change the Address format from "Address only" to "Name and Address".
c. Save and close the Global Domain document.
d. Replicate the Domino Directory as necessary.
7. End the Domino server by typing the following from an AS/400 command line
and press enter:
ENDDOMSVR server name
8. Monitor the tasks by using the WRKACTJOB command from an AS/400 command
line; once all tasks have completed, proceed to the next step.
9. Start MSF by typing the following command from an AS/400 command line, and
press enter:
STRMSF
10. Start the *SMTP TCP server by typing the following command on an AS/400
command line and press Enter:
STRTCPSVR *SMTP
11. Start the Domino server by typing the following from an AS/400 command line
and press Enter:
STRDOMSVR server name
